b)   the number of posts after the proposed restructure as part of the budget savings with the same duties?

 

 

c)    the number of applications forecast to be completed this year 19/20 and forecast 20/21?

Response by Head of Service:

 

 

a)    The current Development Management structure consists of the following:

 

·         1 FTE - Professional Lead.

·         13.47 FTE - Planning Officers (Grade 10 & 12).

·         10.19 FTE – Support staff (Planning Monitoring Officer, Lead Planning Technician, Technicians, Planning Clerk, Administrators).

·         1 FTE - Built Heritage Conservation Officer.

·         1 FTE - Planning Ecologist.

 

 

b)  The proposed Development Management structure (not set in stone) has seen new posts being created (reduced responsibilities) and merged. The structure currently being proposed consists of the following:

 

·         1 FTE – Professional Lead (1 post responsible for Development Management and Planning Policy).

·         13.28 FTE – Planning Officers (Grade 8, 10 &12)

·         8.88 FTE – Support staff

·         1 FTE - Built Heritage Conservation Officer.

·         1 FTE - Planning Ecologist.

 

c)

·         19/20: Number of applications submitted to date – 1667. Projected numbers of application to end of financial year – approximately 1905.

·         20/21: Forecast – Approximately 1905.
