Question From: County Councillor Arwel Jones Subject: School transport costs
Question:
Does the Authority pay any school transport cost for out of County Pupils to be educated in Powys?
Minutes: In response to your question regarding whether the Authority pays any school transport costs for out of County Pupils to be educated in Powys.
We do not pay for Out of County learners to travel to schools in Powys unless they are Powys Children Looked After (CLA) placed Out of County and need to attend their existing school in Powys.
If another authority places a learner in a Powys school then we may provide transport if there is a route to that school operating, however we would re-charge them either for the seat on existing transport or the full cost for any new transport procured. |
