What is the annual cost to the authority of having SWAP internal audit services used by Powys? When and how often is the contract reviewed?

SWAP internal audit services provide the internal audit function for the Council under a partnership agreement. Powys is a partner in the organisation along with other Councils.
The current annual cost of delivery of the service is £269,658. We have already agreed a reduction of £26,250 for 2021/22 through the delivery of efficiencies, with a further efficiency of £18,750 already agreed for 2022/23. The service is reviewed regularly with a 12 month notice period for any changes to be agreed.
