    Response by the Portfolio Holder:

The Welsh Government has re-confirmed its commitment to providing social care with the PPE recommended by public health experts, issued free-of-charge for both local authority operated and independently managed provision.  They have confirmed their intention to supply 100% of Covid-19 PPE need for social care.  This includes independent social care providers – who should be offered sufficient supplies to meet their demand.

The Social Services Commissioning Service has relayed this information to providers at the weekly provider conference call on 13th and 20th of October and has also written formally to each care provider in Powys on the 13th October to confirm the above.  If you require further information you are welcome to contact Dylan Owen with your further query.
