Are you able to give guidance on the opening of play areas in across Powys?

 

I attended a virtual town council meeting, it came up as restrictions are lifted they would be looking for advice and guidance so they are in line with other community councils and the county council.

 

Will PCC issue this when available?

Response by the Portfolio Holder:

 

Thank you for your enquiry about the reopening of play areas in the county.  At the current time, play areas remain closed and we await a Government decision as to when they can reopen in view of the need to manage the risks associated with COVID 19.  When that time comes, the Countryside Access and Recreation team will review any guidance provided by the Welsh Government, to assess the measures that need to be put in place for individual play areas.  At that time, we will share links to any guidance with Town and Community Councils, to assist them in understanding the measures that might be appropriate for the play areas under their control.
