Response by the Portfolio Holder:

The Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation is an important resource for the Council. It provides detailed information on an array of indicators that helps us to plan where we need to target resource. Over the next twelve months we will focus on building upon the success of our last Wellbeing and Population Assessments, and WIMD data will be a key component of this.

The Wellbeing and Population Assessments will both be available to the public by 31 March 2021 and we envisage that the resource will be interactive and more user-friendly than before. Instead of a traditional document, we will focus on expanding the current range of datasets in our Wellbeing Information Bank.  The Welsh Index of Multiple Deprivation is integral to reforming the Strategic Equality Plan, which has now been integrated into Vision 2025.
