DECISION

Reason for decision:

To resolve that the Traffic Regulation Order consultation procedure is initiated in accordance with The Local Authorities' Traffic Orders (Procedure) (England and Wales) Regulations 1996; and if no substantive objections are received the proposal be implemented.

To reduce the speed limit along the developed frontage of the A4811 Llanidloes Road, Newtown from 40 mph to 30 mph to ensure safety on the approach to and through the proposed traffic control at Nantoer Bridge, and to set a more appropriate speed limit where vulnerable highway users can be expected to be encountered travelling along or crossing the A4811 on a regular basis.
