Disposal of former Outdoor Pursuit Centre, Staylittle

    DECISION

    Reason for Decision:

    1.    That the freehold of the former Outdoor Pursuit Centre at Staylittle is transferred to Bidder A.

    2.    That the Transfer limits the use of the property to those uses which fall into the same Use Class as the current use of outdoor pursuit centre.

    3.    That the transfer is subject to overage provisions, whereby the Council will receive 50% of any increase in value from the purchaser should any part of the site be sold within the first five years.

    4.    The Report should remain confidential until after the purchase has been completed.

    1.    To ensure the Property can be reused in an appropriate manner, whilst supporting the aims of the Council’s Vision 2025 document.

To ensure the Council receives a capital receipt from the sale of this building.

To remove a revenue liability from the Council, and therefore reduce its exposure to the risks associated with vacant properties – e,g, vandalism, squatters, unreported storm damage and systems failures.

    2.    To ensure the Purchaser commits to his stated intention of re-establishing the outdoor pursuit centre.

    3.    To ensure that should the Purchaser seek to dispose of the property for enhanced value within the first five years for the same or any other use.
