Apologies for absence were received from County Councillor G Williams and Co-opted Member C Evans.  County Councillor K Roberts-Jones was nominated to act as County Councillor representative in the absence of County Councillor Williams.

To elect a Vice-Chair of the Standards Community Sub-Committee.

Resolved that Independent Member C Jackson be appointed as Vice-Chair of the Standards Community-Sub Committee.

To authorise the Chair to sign the minutes of the previous meeting(s) of the Committee held on the following date(s) as a correct / correct records.

The Chair was authorised to sign the minutes of the meeting held on the 26^th November 2015 as a correct record.

To receive any declarations of interest from Members relating to items to be considered on the agenda.

No declarations of interest were received.

To receive the report of the Solicitor to the Council.

The Committee received the report of the solicitor to the Council.  (Copy filed with signed minutes).

B.        Dispensations

B1.      Applications - Town and Community Councillors

An application for dispensation had been received from Councillor M. Lloyd, Rhayader Town Council. Cllr Lloyd had been invited to attend the meeting but had a prior engagement.   The Committee noted that Cllr Lloyd had apparently not received the email invitation due to problems with his computer but also that he had not been given sufficient opportunity to attend in person.

The Committee felt unable to consider the application without the presence of the applicant to provide further information.  The Committee wished to give the applicant a further opportunity to submit his application in person to the next meeting of the Standards Committee in June.
