To consider a report by County Councillor David Thomas, Cabinet Member for Finance and Corporate Transformation.

Cabinet considered the Strategic Risk Register report for Quarter 1. Cabinet supported the escalation of risk PPPP0014 Phosphate / nutrient levels exceeding the target level in Special Areas of Conservation preventing the development of new housing in Powys, particularly the south, adding to demand and raising the cost of homes in these areas, this risk needs to be escalated.

                        RESOLVED

1.     To note the current Strategic Risk Register in Appendix A and B of the report.

2.    To approve the escalation of PPPP0014 and is satisfied with progress against mitigating actions for quarter 1.

Cabinet considered the Treasury Management report for Quarter 1. The report detailed the Council’s investment and borrowing strategy.
