The Monitoring Officer presented a report on the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales’ investigation into allegation of a breach of the Members’ Code of Conduct.
RESOLVED |
Reason for decision |
1. The Standards Committee should adopt and follow the procedures established for such meetings by Powys County Council as set out in Rules 18.4 of the Constitution of Powys County Council and attached as Appendix 1 to the report. |
To comply with the requirements under the Local Government Investigations (Functions of Monitoring Officers and Standards Committees) (Wales) Regulations 2001. |
2. That the Standards Committee on considering the Ombudsman’s Investigation Report dated 17 February 2022 that it considers that there is evidence which might amount to a failure to comply with the code of conduct to give the former county councillor the opportunity to make representations, either orally or in writing at a future meeting in respect of the findings of the investigation and any allegation that he has failed, or may have failed, to comply with the code of conduct in accordance with the procedures adopted under 1 above. |

The Monitoring Officer presented a report on the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales’ investigation into allegation of a breach of the Members’ Code of Conduct.

1. The Standards Community Sub-Committee should adopt and follow the procedures established for such meetings by Powys County Council as set out in Rules 18.4 of the Constitution of Powys County Council and attached as Appendix 2 to the report. |
